I was picking up my 3-year-old daughter from daycare one sunny afternoon. On our way home, we passed by a small grocery store. She tugged at my hand, her little eyes wide with excitement, and said,“Daddy, do we need a loaf of bread? Let’s buy one.”I smiled, touched by her thoughtfulness. How sweet, I thought.
