Betrayal and Changed Everything
I always believed a mother should be your greatest supporter, but mine was far from that. Growing up, I was the target of her anger and jealousy. She accused me of stealing my dad, a claim I knew was unfair, yet she never stopped reminding me she wished for a son instead of me.
Without my dad’s love, I don’t know how I would have made it through those early years. When Noah entered my life, he was the son she wanted him to be and won her heart easily, often shielding me from her harsh words.
The nightmare returned when Noah and I married. My mom looked down on me constantly, mocking our roles and telling Noah that I wasn’t good enough. She pushed for him to call her “mom,” putting me down at every turn.
